New ListPipe Blog Listings

List Pipe SEOWhenever a new blog is started in our ListPipe system, the blog is automatically listed in our Blog Listings.

We do this to help Google, Yahoo!, and MSN find your blog faster, and to lend some ListPipe credibility to your new site.

It is part of our internal linking strategy that helps each site in our system to be found, and to leverage each other.

To find any of our blog listings, just go to the 'Now Serving' link from our Home Page, and then select any of the vertical market pages from there (you have a choice of Dentistry, Real Estate, Isagenix, or Jiffy Lube). Then, select 'View Blogs' from any of the vertical market pages to see a list of participating blogs.

ListPipe Recieves Initial Google Rank

ListPipe Receives High Google RankListPipe this week received its initial Google page rank, achieving a 3/10 for it's first rank out-of-the-gate.

Google ranks website from '0' to '10', awarding the most popular websites with the higher numbers.

According to Google:

PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value.

In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B.

But, Google looks at considerably more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; for example, it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important."

Using these and other factors, Google provides its views on pages' relative importance.

Starting off with a site rank of three is a good indication that our SEO efforts are paying off. We consider a Google rank of 3 to be fairly high for an initial rank, and are pleased as can be to start at such a high ranking.

Of course, ListPipe blogs that are part of the ListPipe system will benefit from this initial rank, and should experience a 'halo effect' because of the close association with the main ListPipe.com page.

ListPipe, Writing Your Own SEO Content

ListPipe provides Powerful Custom Content, written just for you. However, writing your own content is a great way to add value to your ListPipe blog.

Everything Counts

Search engines are on the lookout for new content to index. When we publish content to your site each week, the search engines take notice and adjust their visitation and indexing frequency accordingly. When you start blogging, too, the search engines are trained to come back even more frequently. The more often search engines visit your site, the quicker your new content is made available to searchers. Note that new content on your site is not available to searchers until it is indexed by a search engine.

Get The Balance Right

Posts don't have to be too long. In fact, a post of about 100 to 150 words is just enough. Add a couple of links, and repeat your keywords 3-5 times and you have a perfect SEO blog posting. Of course there are other more advanced tricks of the trade, however and because you are getting supplemental content from ListPipe, you won't need to worry so much about the heavy lifting. All you need to do is concentrate on saying what you want to, how you want to.

The Things You Said...

In fact, search engines such as Google, Yahoo!, and MSN look for posts that are specifically written in 'normal' language. In other words, avoid making lists of keywords, or using language that has an awkward cadence. Write in 'the spoken word' and you'll do fine.

When you work to include your keywords, have an idea before hand which ones you want to include, concentrate on one or two for each post, and mention them two or three times. If you are linking to another site, make sure you link from a few of the keywords, but not all of them. If you are not comfortable with keywords and linking, don't let that stop you from writing a basic post. Any relevant content will help your search engine marketing effort.

Becden Dental LabBecden Dental Lab has posted an article by Steve Hawkins regarding SEO and dentistry.

The article has some excellent information about SEO and includes a handful of helpful links, including one to our very own ListPipe.

In particular, and most interesting, Steve discusses the 'golden triangle', that region of a search results page that seems to attract the most attention, and where you want to be when someone searches for your keywords. Getting to the golden triangle can take some effort. Writing good content, and posting frequently is the only way to get to the top organically, and the only way to stay there without a pay per click strategy.

The nice thing about our Powerful Custom Content, is that it is designed for organic success, and has a strong staying power when it comes to holding your position inside the golden triangle.
