PRIVACY POLICY - OUR COMMITMENT TO YOUR PRIVACY

This site is  owned and operated by Square Compass, Inc. (hereafter 'Square Compass'). Your privacy while using is of the utmost importance to us. At Square Compass, we want to make your experience online satisfying and safe.

Because we gather certain types of information about our users, and store information about your site as part of our service, we feel you should fully understand our policy and the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information. This privacy statement discloses what information we gather and how we use it.

INFORMATION Square Compass GATHERS AND TRACKS

Square Compass gathers four types of information about users:

  1. Information that users provide in order to establish an account, such as personal contact information, business contact information, and payment and billing information, etc. Credit card information collected through our site is not stored on our servers, and is passed to our secure merchant account system where it is stored according to the strictest PCI compliance standards. We use Authorize.net for our merchant services. Authorize.net is a leading merchant services provider known around the world;
  2. Information that users store in the {if $smarty.session.Affiliate}The Blog Service{else}ListPipe{/if} online application such as blog information, contact information, etc.;
  3. Information that users provide through optional, voluntary submissions. These are voluntary submissions to receive our electronic newsletters, to participate in our message boards or forums, feedback, to email a friend, and from participation in polls and surveys;
  4. Information Square Compass gathers through aggregated tracking information derived mainly by tallying page views throughout our sites. Under no circumstances does Square Compass divulge any information about an individual user to a third party.

Square Compass Gathers User Information In The Following Processes:

Optional Voluntary Information

We offer the following free services, which require some type of voluntary submission of personal information by users:

  1. Electronic newsletters policy (Dispatches): We will offer a free electronic newsletter to users. Square Compass gathers the email addresses of users who voluntarily subscribe. Users may remove themselves from this mailing list by following the link provided in every newsletter that points users to the subscription management page. Users can also subscribe to the newsletters at the time of registration.
  2. Facebook Connectivity: We offer an option to link your ListPipe account to your Facebook Wall or Page. If you elect to link your account to your Facebook, we will automatically repost content that is posted to your blog site to your Facebook wall or page (as designated by you). See 'Facebook' section, below, for more details. We collect your Facebook credentials in order to establish a connection to your Facebook account through a Facebook App called 'ListPipe Link'. ListPipe Link is only a distribution tool; we do not collect any data from your Facebook account.
  3. Twitter Connectivity: We offer an option to link your ListPipe account to your Twitter account. If you elect to link your account to your Twitter account, we will automatically repost content that is posted to your blog site to your Twitter stream. We collect your Twitter credentials in order to establish a connection to your Twitter account through an external App called 'ListPipe Link'. ListPipe Link is only a distribution tool; we do not collect any data from your Twitter account.

Facebook Connectivity via ListPipe Link

  1. Users have an option to connect their ListPipe account to their Facebook account via a Facebook Application called ListPipe Link.
  2. ListPipe Link allows ListPipe to repost your blog content to your Facebook Wall or Facebook Page, or both (as you designate).
  3. To activate ListPipe Link, our system will ask you for your Facebook credentials. Your credentials are handled securely and are not divulged in any way, other than to confirm your initiated connection to Facebook.
  4. ListPipe Link, nor the ListPipe service, collects any additional data from your Facebook account. ListPipe link is strictly for distribution of your content to your Facebook page. We do not collect, read, or store any data from your Facebook account.

Copyright

ListPipe is a content creation and delivery service. We create our own content using in-house writers and researchers. We reserve all rights to our content and provide our content for exclusive use to our customers for the business and communication purposes.

We occasionally include images and other media with our content. We do so under license for all media including images and videos.

If you discover that we have posted any content that may be the copyright of another entity, or if you wish to notify us that content that we have published may be in violation of a copyright law, please notify us via email at [email protected]

Message boards/forums policy

  1. Users of the site's Message Boards and Forums must register separately for these services in order to post messages, although they needn't register to visit the site. During registration the user is required to supply a username, password, and email address. "E-mail this to a friend" policy
  2. Our site users can choose to electronically forward a link, page, or documents to someone else by clicking "e-mail this to a friend" or "tell a friend" in various placed on our site. The user must provide their email address, as well as that of the recipient. This information is used only in the case of transmission errors and, of course, to let the recipient know who sent the email. The information is not used for any other purpose.

Polling

  1. We may offer interactive polls to users so they can share their opinions about our products and services. Opinions or other responses to polls are aggregated and are not identifiable to any particular user. Square Compass may use a system to "tag" users after they have voted, so they can vote only once on a particular question. This tag is not correlated with information about individual users. Surveys
  2. Square Compass may occasionally conduct user surveys to better understand how our products and services are being used. We sometimes share the aggregated demographic information in these surveys with our sponsors, advertisers and partners. We do not share information about specific individuals with any third party.

Children

Consistent with the Federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without requesting parental consent.

Usage tracking

Square Compass tracks user traffic patterns throughout all of our sites. However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. Square Compass may collect overall usage statistics according to a user's domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user's browser). We collect usage information to help optimize our service and for load management.

Cookies

  1. We may place a text file called a "cookie" in the browser files of your computer. The cookie itself does not contain personal information although it will enable us to relate your use of this site to information that you have specifically and knowingly provided. But the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. Square Compass uses cookies to provide functionality within the application such as allowing your browser to remember your username.
  2. You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. If you've set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you may receive the warning message with each cookie. You do not need to have cookies turned on to use this site. However, you may need cookies to participate actively in message boards, forums, polling and surveys.

USE OF INFORMATION

Square Compass does not and will not use any information about your customers stored in the ListPipe application. The information you store in your account is considered personal and private by Square Compass, and will not be shared or divulged to any party without your written consent.

As stated above, we use information that users voluntarily provide in order to send out electronic newsletters and to enable users to participate in polls, surveys, message boards, and forums. We send out newsletters to subscribers on a regular schedule (depending on the newsletter), and occasionally send out special editions when we think subscribers might be particularly interested in something we are doing. Square Compass never shares newsletter mailing lists with any third parties, including advertisers, sponsors or partners.

When we use tracking information to determine which areas of our sites users like and don't like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us continue to build a better service for you.

Square Compass will not disclose any information about any individual user except to comply with applicable law or valid legal process or to protect the personal safety of our users or the public.

SHARING OF THE INFORMATION

Square Compass does not and will not share any information you provide in your account on the ListPipe application. The information you store in your account is considered personal and private by Square Compass, and will not be shared or divulged to any party without your written consent. The information you provide to open your account will also not be shared.

BE ADVISED that ListPipe is a blog system, and that ListPipe provides WordPress blog technology so that ListPipe users may publish information on the World Wide Web. Information that you publish through your blog on the ListPipe system is public, and is accessible to users of the Internet. Protect your privacy by carefully considering what you choose to publish before you approve content for your live blog site.

SECURITY

Square Compass operates secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall, password protection systems, and 256-bit encryption (the standard used by many world governments including the U.S. government). Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our customers.

OPT-OUT POLICY

We give users options wherever necessary and practical. Such choices include:

  • Opting not to register to receive our electronic newsletters or other op-in communications;
  • Opting not to participate in certain interactive areas, which completely alleviates the need to gather any personally identifiable information from our users.
